Man dies after delay in treatment due to waterlogging on road

THIRUVALLA: A patient who was delayed in reaching the hospital due to heavy rain and flooding on the roads has died. The said individual, Prasannakumar (69), of Arya Bhavan in Ganapathipuram in Peringara Panchayat's 13th Ward died after experiencing chest pain.

Prasanna Kumar started feeling chest pain at around 10:30 pm on Thursday. There was waterlogging in Peringara-Kavumbhagam road, Vaikathillam road and Chathankari road near his house. As the vehicle coukd not move, four people from the neighborhood joined hands and carried him to the main road and then took him to the hospital.

He died on the way to hospital. Funeral will be held on Sunday at 11 am. Wife: Late Valsala Prasannan. Children: Maya Sreekumar, Arya Biju. In-laws: Sreekumar and Biju. Last day, a young man died due to shock from an electric line that fell into a waterlogged area in Mepral.
