Wayanad disaster: Body of television serial cameraman recovered, FEFKA confirms news of death

WAYANAD: The body of a television serial cameraman, who went missing in the landslide in Mundakkai, has been recovered. FEFKA MDTV member Focus Puller Shiju was found dead on Wednesday morning. FEFKA, the director's union of Malayalam cinema, has confirmed the news of death. The dead body of Shiju's mother was also found in Mundakkai.

Shiju's brother and daughter, who escaped from the disaster, are undergoing treatment. A search is underway to find Shiju's father and other relatives. Shiju's neighbour and colleague Pranav, a Camera Assistant, escaped with injuries. Efforts are being made to find Pranav's relatives who went missing in the landslide. Shiju, who was a camera assistant of Surya Digital Vision, had worked in several popular television serials such as Malikappuram, Aniyathipravu and Ammakkilikkoodu.
