Seven-year-old Nahyan donates bicycle savings to CMDRF

MALAPPURAM: Seven-year-old Nahyan, donates the money he have been saving up to buy a bicycle to CMDRF. Nahyan who is the youngest of four children, is a 2nd class student of AMLP School, son of couple Hanifa and Saifunnisa of Kozhithodi, Malappuram. When he was studying in UKG, he had asked his mother if she would buy him a gear bicycle. His parents assured him to buy one when he grows up.

His mother also suggested Nahyan to save the money he gets. Later, his mother bought a piggy bank for her son and gave it to him. Nahyan has donated the money he collected to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to restore the lives of those who lost everything. The child asked his parents to give the entire savings after seeing the plight of the landslide affected areas in the news.

Parents happily agreed to Nahyan's demand and promised to buy a new bicycle for him. Rs 3140 was given to the relief fund. Based on the call of Ward Member PM Nishab, the amount was handed over to Thirurangadi Taluk Tehsildar KG Prince at his office on Wednesday afternoon.

Tehsildar gifted chocolates to Nahyan. LR Tehsildar N Mohanan, Deputy Tehsildars C B Preethi, S Shahir Khan, E M Jyothi, Thenjipalam 9th Ward Member P M Nishab, M V Rasheed, Shihab, Najeeb and others were present on the occasion.
