Woman riding pillion groped by mob on flooded road; massive outcry on social media

LUCKNOW: In Uttar Pradesh, some youths were arrested for harassing a woman who passed through a waterlogged area of a road. Pawan Yadav and Sunil Kumar were arrested in Lucknow on Wednesday.

The road near the Taj Hotel was knee-deep in water due to incessant rains in the area. Some youths reached the spot and relished in splashing water at others. The gang splashed water on commuters while a senior citizen was dragged from his scooter and his vehicle ended up falling into the water.

At this time, a couple were trying to cross the road by bike but were ambushed by the youngsters. Water was splashed at them while some among the youths tried to touch the woman. Too much water obstructed the travel and the vehicle slipped making both of them land in water. Some among the youths came to help the woman but the damage was already done.

There was a huge outcry on social media after the video went viral. The accused were arrested by the police during the investigation.
