NEW DELHI: With Hamas and Hezbollah publically vowing to avenge the killing of their chief, the crisis has metamorphosed into the worst in the Middle Eastern countries. Tensions are brewing in the Middle Eastern countries after Iran received support from Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.

Last Tuesday, Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr was killed in an Israeli attack in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Hours after this, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Countries including India are on alert in the Middle East conflict. Indian citizens in Israel have been instructed to be vigilant and follow security norms following the escalation of tensions in the region.

The Indian Embassy in Beirut issued strict instructions for Indian citizens not to travel to Lebanon until further notice. Hours after this instruction, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv asked the nationals to practice caution. Air India has suspended flights connecting Tel Aviv in Israel till August 8.
