KALPETTA: District collector DR Meghasree has said that it is a false rumour that rescue workers in Chooralmala and Mundakkai are not getting food. The food they need every day is cooked and delivered accurately. The Collector informed that volunteers and outsiders are not allowed to cook food and distribute it directly.
The food delivered at the collection point is also properly distributed. The food is distributed after inspection by the officials of the Food Safety Department. This arrangement is to prevent the distribution of stale and substandard food. Special officers are also appointed to supervise the preparation and distribution of food.
