PARIS: Nisha Dahiya's Paris Olympics campaign came to an end on Monday as she lost to North Korea's Pak Sol Gum in the quarterfinals of the women's 68 kg division.
Sol Gum beat Dahiya by 8-10. At one point, Dahiya was leading by 8-2, but she faced an injury and had to take some medical timeouts. Sol Gum took full advantage of her opponent's injury and made a comeback which was just good enough to help her win the match. Nisha was seen writhing in pain for more than half the match. The star, who had three medical timeouts, completed the match in tears.
Meanwhile, if Pak Sol Gum reaches the final, the Indian wrestler can qualify for the bronze medal match through the repechage round.
