Woman scooterist dies in hit-and-run accident in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman scooterist met with a tragic end on Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle near Karakulam bridge in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident happened at 8 am on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Geetha (37), a resident of Puthukulangara, Nedumangad Aryanad.

Geetha was heading towards Peroorkada when an unknown vehicle knocked her down on the road. On falling, Geetha suffered a hit on her head which might have caused a clot. The locals rushed her to hospital but her life couldn’t be saved. Aruvikkara police registered a case in the incident.
