PARIS: India's Neeraj Chopra qualified in the Paris Olympics javelin throw with an impressive first-round performance. Neeraj qualified for the final by throwing the javelin to a distance of 89.34 meters. The distance to reach the final was 84 meters. Neeraj won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics with a distance of 87.58.
Neeraj is in the pole position when it comes to the final list. Grenadian player Anderson Peters who threw a distance of 88.63 meters is in second place. Nadeem Arshad of Pakistan also qualified by throwing a distance of 86.59 meters. Brazil's Mauricio Luis Da Silva, who threw a distance of 85.91 meters in his third attempt, is another player who directly qualified for the final from Group B. The final match is on August 8.
