KALPETTA: Three dead bodies spotted in Mundakkai and Chooralmala were airlifted to Bathery on Saturday. Meanwhile, the officials failed to take one body part found in the same region. It is informed that this body part will be airlifted on Sunday. Volunteers found the dead bodies in Soochipara on Friday. The airlift was delayed due to a lack of PPE kits.

On Friday, the volunteers from the forest department found four dead bodies in Soochipara’s Anadikapu. The dead bodies were in a rotten state. Due to the prime minister’s arrival in Wayanad, there will be no search in Mundakkai and Chooralmala regions on Saturday. Volunteers and those involved in the search will not have access to the disaster-affected areas. The Collector informed that the search would resume on Sunday.
