SHIRUR: There is an uncertainty in the search for Arjun of Kozhikode, who went missing in the landslide at Shirur in Karnataka. It is reported that the Navy has not yet received permission to dive in the river. The Navy team arrived at 9 am and it was informed earlier that they will proceed with further action after the sonar inspection and the flow of the river.

The Navy is still in Karwar. The district administration has not yet responded as to why the permission was not granted. 'Navy is ready. Everything was prepared for the diving last night itself. All five to dive are ready.

Malayali friends in the Navy said that they are ready but permission has not been granted to go there. Now all I have to do is jump into the river. There are no currents now. The river is calm. The weather here has been good for more than six days,’ lorry owner Manaf told a media.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar said there is a crisis in the search for Arjun. The strong currents continuing in the Gangavali river is a challenge, but the mission will not end and the search will continue. Jithin, relative of Arjun, blamed the district administration for their lapse.
