THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The third test of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV- D3) to launch mini, micro and nano satellites of 10 to 500 kg mass has been successfully completed. With the successful launch, this small rocket has reached ISRO's rocket range.

The launch was at Sriharikota at 9:17 am today. In 13 minutes, the 175.5 kg EOS 08 satellite was ejected into orbit at a distance of 475 km. Three minutes later, the 200-gram SR-0 DemoSAT, manufactured by Space Kids India, was also ejected. This completes the three missions before the regular launch. Now it will be handed over to the private sector. This will pave the way for a private sector boom in the space sector in India.

No other rocket in the world can launch small satellites at such a low cost. This is the most sought-after rocket. The first launch in August 2002 was a failure. The second launch on February 10, 2023 was successful.
