THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A police team led by a woman sub inspector of Kazhakootam left for Visakhapatnam early Thursday morning to bring the 13-year-old girl, who went missing from Kazhakoottam on Tuesday. They boarded the Korba train from Veli railway station. The team has four people including a woman cop.
The girl, who went missing from home on Tuesday was found from Visakhapatnam after a search of 37 hours. The girl is now under the custody of the police there. After medical examination, she will be brought to Kerala as early as possible and produce before the magistrate. She will be later released to her parents after the proceedings.
The girl missing was Thasmith Thamsi, eldest daughter of Anwar Hussain, living in a rented house near St Antony's School in Kazhakoottam. The girl left the house when her mother scolded her for quarrelling with her siblings. I am happy to have found the child, Anwar Hussain told media.
The girl was weak as she did not have any food. The representatives of the Malayali Association found the girl from Tambaram Express. The girl was lying on the berth of the train. The association office bearers said that the child has no health issues. The girl reached Chennai from Thiruvananthapuram and then went to Visakhapatnam from there. She told police that she left the house after a fight.
