‘Amen’ actor Nirmal Benny dies

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Nirmal Benny died here Friday following heart attack. He died early this morning. Producer Sanjay Padiyoor shared the news of his death on Facebook.

‘Bidding adieu to my dear friend... The Kochachan role of Amen and the central character he played in my ‘Dooram’. He died early this morning due to heart attack. Praying to God that the soul of my dear friend rest in eternal peace,’ he wrote on Facebook.

Nirmal gained attention with Lijo Jose Pellissery's 'Amen'. He played the role of a Kochachan (junior priest). He entered the film industry in 2012 with the film 'Navagatharkku Swagatham. He then acted in five films including Amen and Dooram. He appeared in YouTube videos also.
