Argument about buying car; wife throws chilli powder in husband's eye to attack him with wooden log; husband with arm injury and 15 stitches on head

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Wife hit her husband on the head with a log during an argument after the in-laws refused to give a guarantee for purchasing a car. Prasad (38), a resident of Naruvamoodu, was attacked by his wife. Prasad received 15 stitches on his head. Prasad's wife Chinju went into hiding after the incident. The incident happened on 26th at midnight.

Prasad had spent around six lakh rupees for Chinchu's family. As there are offers during the Onam season, Prasad demanded that either this money should be returned or the family should provide a guarantee so that he can buy a new car. However, Chinju and her family were not ready for this. This is what led to the dispute. The argument that took place during the day escalated at night. Chinju threw chilli powder in Prasad's eyes and hit him on the head with a log during the argument.

Prasad, who was under the influence of alcohol, was also injured in his hand while stopping the attack. Prasad, who suffered severe head injuries, was admitted to the Santhivila Hospital and then to the Medical College by the locals and relatives. Prasad told the Naruvamoodu police that Chinju had hit him with a log during the fight. Following the incident, both parties were called to the police station.
