CHANDIGARH: The police have identified five people in connection with the murder of a class 12 student in Haryana, mistaking him for a cattle smuggler. The incident happened on August 23 in Faridabad. The teenager dead is Aryan Mishra.
The accused are Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh and Saurabh. Aryan and his friends were traveling in a car. Mistaking them for cattle smugglers, the accused chased them for 30 km on the Delhi-Agra National Highway near Gadhpuri in Haryana. The police informed that the murder was committed after this.
Sources said the cow vigilantes received information that some cattle smugglers in Renault Duster and Toyota Fortuner cars were picking up the cattle. After this, the accused started searching the cattle smugglers. Meanwhile, they saw the car in which Aryan and his team were traveling in Patel Chowk.
The accused then asked them to stop the vehicle. Aryan and his friends did not stop the car as they had a fight with somebody and thought they had sent goons to kill them. The car went forward, the accused followed them and fired at the car. Meanwhile, Aryan was shot. He was rushed to the hospital, but died during treatment. There are reports that the accused have been taken into custody. The police said they are investigating the incident in detail.
