Rima Kallingal responds to singer Suchitra’s allegation of hosting drug party at home

KOCHI: Rima Kallingal came forward responding to the allegations leveled against her by Tamil singer Suchitra. In the post shared on social media, Rima said that all the allegations levelled against her are baseless and that legal action will be taken against her.

Suchitra’s baseless statement that she had read a news about Rima’s arrest in a drug case had caught attention. Rima Kallingal clarified that there was no such incident. Rima stated that she has decided to take action in the incident and submitted a complaint before the special investigation team and a defamation notice was also sent.

‘A lot of people have been supporting WCC for years. It is this support and trust that prompted me to write this post. Several news outlets have reported on statements made by Tamil singer Suchitra in an interview with a YouTube channel in the last two days.

In the interview, she not only names and shames the survivor of the actor assault case in 2017, claiming the survivor knew it was coming, but also alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Mohanlal and Mammootty conspired through the Hema Committee to sabotage the careers of actors like Fahadh Faasil.

We all know why the Hema Committee was formed and anyone suggesting otherwise should be questioned. Their revelations did not make it to the mainstream media, but her baseless statement on reading a news about my arrest caught the attention of many.

Let me clarify that no such incident has happened. I have decided to take legal action in the matter. A complaint was submitted before the special investigation team and a defamation notice was sent. To those who believe in our cause, let us move forward together. Thanks for the support.’
