VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had a narrow escape from a fast-approaching train while visiting the flood-affected Madura Nagar railway bridge. The footage of the incident has also been released.
Chandrababu Naidu was walking along the track to review the flood damage when the train arrived, taking all the politicians and officials by surprise. There was little space to accommodate all the people and some even had to pull back their paunch to save themselves from a major mishap. The bridge, designed exclusively for rail traffic, had no space for pedestrians. As soon as he saw the train, the security personnel moved Naidu aside to ensure safety.
Heavy rains have been continuing in Andhra for the past few days, affecting the normal life of citizens. Chandrababu Naidu has been visiting the disaster area for the past five days, coordinating operations with rescuers in NDRF boats, and occasionally ignoring safety protocols.
