Husband tries to kill wife with the help of girlfriend in Kollam, arrested

KOLLAM: Satheesh, a native of Chithara, has been arrested by the Kadaykkal police in connection with an attempted murder case. According to the police, Satheesh, with the help of his girlfriend Sujitha, tried to kill his wife, Sayujya. The incident occurred at Sujitha's house in Kummil, where Sayujya was allegedly lured before the attack. The investigation is ongoing and the police are looking into the roles of both Satheesh and Sujitha in the crime.

In another incident, a 30-year-old man from Vellamunda, identified as Alancherimuk Kakancheri Nagar Ravindran, was arrested for attempting to murder his estranged wife, Swapna. The incident took place in Alencheri, where Ravindran attacked Swapna on the roadside while she was returning from a shop at night. He slashed her neck with a blade before fleeing the scene. Locals apprehended him and handed him over to the police.

Swapna revealed that Ravindran was a habitual drinker and had physically abused her in the past, leading to her separation from him. Despite his attempts at reconciliation, she had refused, which reportedly fueled his anger. According to relatives, Ravindran had previously made several threats against Swapna and had even attempted to harm her before. Police believe personal grudges motivated the attack.
