KOCHI: The complainant who alleged sexual misconduct from actor Mukesh expressed dismay at the anticipatory bail allowed to the MLA by the High Court. In an interview with a private television channel, the complainant opened up about more details surrounding the actor.
COMPLAINANT:
“I think it to be shoddy work from the prosecution which paved away for the bail. I asked my friends and they too expressed shock at the MLA receiving bail despite committing such a grave crime.
By 2013, I moved out of Kerala and I was a single parent. It was a time of financial struggle and I was working very hard to pay the fees of my children and other taxes. Mukesh abused me back in 2009 and despite this, I sometimes used to contact him. At one time, I badly wanted Rs 25,000 for my daughter’s education and I reached out to Mukesh. His response left me speechless and I was badly hurt.
Just after hearing my need, he instantly said about his ‘financially tight situation’ and ended the call.
It was the same person who assaulted me and when it came to an urgency, he turned his back on me. I was seething in rage but was not in a position to complain of his misconduct. Nobody would have cared if I had made the complaint back then. Moreover, I would have struggled to complete the payments to lawyers.
But Mukesh’s total change in behaviour when in need, kept on haunting me for a long. It is why I complained when the situation turned good for me.”
To the anchor’s question on whether she would have dropped the case if received financial favors from Mukesh, the complainant remained ambiguous and failed to give a lucid response.
