ALAPPUZHA: The police are suspecting that more people are involved in the Subhadra murder case. The police are questioning Reynold, a relative of Mathew who was arrested in the case. The police suspect that Reynold had assisted in the murder. Furthermore, the police suspect that the deceased Subhadra was administered drugs. The police claim that Reynold was the one who brought drugs to Mathew and Sharmila.

The police investigation has uncovered that the elderly woman Subhadra was subjected to extreme brutality before being killed and buried in a pit in Kalavoor, Alappuzha. The accused, Mathew and Sharmila, revealed during questioning that they had stamped on the 73-year-old Subhadra's chest and strangled her. The accused, who were arrested yesterday from Manipal in Karnataka, were brought to the Mannancherry police station today morning.

During detailed questioning, the accused revealed that they had murdered Subhadra for financial gain. According to their statement to the police, they had summoned a mason on the 7th to dig a pit behind the house and subsequently carried out the murder on the same evening. The accused were arrested by the investigation team while they were on their way to a friend's house in Manipal. The police had earlier gathered information about potential acquaintances, friends, and relatives of Sharmila, a native of Udupi, who could provide her with a place to stay.
