KOLLAM: More details of the accused in the Mynagappally accident are out. As per police, there were eight cases against Ajmal (29), who drove the car in a drunken state, killing a housewife at Mynagappally. The cases include theft, destruction of public property and fraud. Meanwhile, Sreekutty (27), who accompanied Ajmal in the car, was fired from her job.
Sreekutty, a divorcee, met Ajmal six months back at the hospital where she worked. They quickly hit a rapport after Ajmal tricked Sreekutty into believing that he was a dance teacher. Later both of them started studying dance together. Sreekutty joined the private hospital in Karunagappally after ending her first marriage.
The accident happened when Ajmal and Dr Sreekutty were returning from a party at their friend's house. The medical examination proved that the duo was under the influence of alcohol. Another young woman who is their friend is being interrogated at Shastamkotta station.
