'Strong evidence and statements'; Noose tightens around actor Siddique

KOCHI: The investigation team received crucial evidence and testimony that validates the sexual misconduct allegations against actor Siddique. The new development may prove decisive for the court verdict on Siddique’s anticipatory bail plea, which may be pronounced in the coming days.

A charge sheet may also be filed. The clothes worn by the complainant on the day of the incident have been sent for forensic examination. The statement of the actress that she came to the hotel to meet Siddique with her parents and friends after the movie preview was found to be true.

On January 27, 2016, Siddique took room number 101D at noon and vacated it the next day at 5 pm. The hotel record collected included the list of food including rice, fish curry and curd which the actor ordered. The actress in her statement mentioned the food cuisines correctly.

The actress revealed the incident to her friend after one year. The friend also gave a statement supporting the actress in the case. The actress had sought treatment from two female psychiatrists in Kochi due to mental stress. The veracity of these claims has also been confirmed.
