KOCHI: The search continues for actor Siddique, former general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and accused in a sexual misconduct case. Siddique fled after abandoning his own vehicle.
Two houses of the actor in Kochi are found locked and his phones are switched off. The actor may approach the Supreme Court today seeking bail. It is hinted that Siddique's representative has left for Delhi with a copy of the high court.
The survivor has filed a curative plea in the Supreme Court. The state may also file a curative plea. The plea is filed demanding to hear them before passing an interim order.
The high court rejected Siddique's anticipatory bail yesterday. Justice CS Dias has clarified that the prima facie case against Siddique will remain based on circumstantial evidence.
