MALAPPURAM: PV Anvar said that he will approach the High Court on Thursday, demanding an investigation into the police's role in gold smuggling. Anvar was speaking to the media after the Chief Minister met the media in Delhi.

"A sitting judge should be appointed. The court should decide it. Let the judiciary investigate the allegations against me. It's the only institution I trust now," Anvar said.

"Some people have something to hide. I am not afraid as I don't have anything to hide. The CM tried to portray me as the culprit after reading the script written by MR Ajith Kumar. My park has been closed for seven years. According to the Geological Survey report, the park is not located in the disaster area. The report is on the Chief Minister's table. I said all this while it (report) is there. If needed, I could have remained silent till things get sorted," Anvar said.

"YouTubers are leading Kerala into a great danger. They are trying to break friendships. If youngsters have decided to ignore these issues and sleep after eating chicken biryani, I will go my way. Although I've asked for protection for my house, there has been no response. There is no guarantee of getting a gun license. I will speak to the people of Nilambur on Sunday," he said.

Did not say I've left LDF, it was a slip of the tongue

"I didn't say that I've left the Left Front. It was a slip of the tongue. I said that I will not attend the parliamentary party meeting. I will continue to remain in Left Front till I receive a letter asking me to stay away from the Front," Anvar said.

"If the party continues in its current manner, many leaders will suffer massive defeats in 2026. The LDF won't be able to win more than 20-25 seats. I haven't bought even a paracetamol at government expense in the last eight years. Those who have their own planes are also going to America for treatment. I don't want any benefit from the government. Minorities and comrades are not getting any justice," he added.
