Dry day for two days, bars also will remain closed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state will observe complete dry day in the state for two days. BEVCO outlets will remain closed for two days as Oct 1 and Gandhi Jayanthi coincides.

BEVCO outlets will close at 7 pm tonight for taking of stock. Bars will remain open till 11pm tonight. Bars will be closed tomorrow and the day after.

The liquor reserved for sale during dry days was seized by the excise team. 55 litres of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) was seized. 108 bottles of six brands of liquor were seized. The police arrested P S Nitheesh of Edavanakkad Nedungad in connection with the incident.

The excise informed that they are investigating about his assistant and from where he collected so many liquor bottles. The excise team has informed that inspections will continue.
