India beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in second Test, clinch series

KANPUR: India dominated Bangladesh in the second Test, securing a convincing 7-wicket victory and claiming the series 2-0.

On the fifth day, India's bowlers dismantled Bangladesh's lineup for a paltry 146 runs, setting up a manageable 95-run target. India's batsmen delivered, losing just three wickets as Yashasvi Jaiswal starred with half-centuries in both innings. Jaiswal's outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award. Virat Kohli also played a crucial role in India's victory, scoring 29 runs. India lost the wickets of Jaiswal (51 runs), captain Rohit Sharma (8 runs), and Shubman Gill (6 runs) in the second innings.

Resuming day five on 26/2, Bangladesh were able to add only 120 runs to their second innings total. Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Akash Deep shared the wickets. Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was named the Player of the Series.
