MALAPPURAM: A blurb in MLA K T Jaleel's new book mentions that the author is now being lured into retirement mood. Jaleel's book 'Swargasthanaya Gandhiji', will be released on Wednesday. “I am ending my career at the peak phase” Jaleel wrote in his book using a popular Malayalam aphorism.
“These days, I am addicted to writing and reading. I have no qualms about vacating my chair for newcomers. I have not promised anyone that I will die inside the legislative chamber. But if the party insists, I will be at their service. Thanks to the generosity shown by CPM. I will render service to the best of its ability as long as the party demands it," said Jaleel.
The book is a collection of articles by Jaleel based on different topics. The controversial statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the world understood Mahatma Gandhi by watching Richard Attenborough's 'Gandhi' movie turned catalyst for Jaleel to pen the book.
The book is dedicated to Jaleel’s political mentor Korambayil Ahamed Haji and to Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, who spearheaded Jaleel’s inclusion into LDF.
In the book, Jaleel shares his plans to travel around the world and write a new book on his experience.
