Teacher returning home after daughter's marriage dies in car accident

KOTTAYAM: A woman teacher returning after attending her daughter’s marriage, died in a tragic road accident. Erumeli Panampilavu Government School Headmistress Sheena Shamsudeen died in the incident.

The accident took place on Sunday night at 17th Mile, Vazhoor. Sheena was returning from her Daughter's reception held at the groom's house in Kottayam. The car lost control at the Ilampallikkavala bend at 17th Mile, Vazhoor and fell about thirty feet from the highway to a gorge. Sheena's husband Shamsuddin and son Nebin Muhammad were injured in the accident.

The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital. The mortal remains will be handed over to the family after post-mortem.
