Just like how some fishes in flood water in hope of hooking big fish, the Excise department has nabbed an accused in this rainy season who managed to dodge them till now. Aluva native Basheer used to peddle ganja in the cover of selling fish. He hid the drugs by burying it in uninhabited places. The authorities were in search of the person selling ganja to children.

However, his plot was exposed due to rain. He tried to sell his ganja back to wholesale dealers in the fear of getting his stock washed away. The police got a piece of secret information regarding this and caught him red-handed under the guise of customers. Basheer has committed a crime that can be punished with imprisonment up to ten years. The excise department has shared this incident on their Facebook page.
