Death of auto driver in Kasargod: Accused SI suspended from service

KASARGOD: A sub inspector, who thrashed an auto driver, has been suspended from service. The suspended is P Anoop of Kasargod station. He is also accused in the suicide of auto driver Abdul Sathar.

The action was after the visuals of the cop thrashing auto driver Naushad surfaced. The footage of the incident which happened in June came out now. The visuals of forcibly taking an auto driver on the complaint lodged by a passenger are out. According to the complaint filed by the passenger, he reached the station, met the officials and after that when he went to the auto parked outside the station to take the phone, Anoop thrashed him.

Naushad had filed a complaint against the sub inspector at the police complaint cell authority. There are complaints of Anoop regularly harassing auto drivers.
