Yet another complaint against DMO arrested in bribery case; accused remanded

THODUPUZHA: Idukki District Medical Officer L Manoj and driver and middleman Rahul Raj, who were arrested in the bribery case, were remanded by the Vigilance Court. Both have been shifted to the sub-jail.

Meanwhile, yet another complaint has been lodged in Munnar against the DMO. The new complaint is also related to the DMO demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from a hotel owner. Both Manoj and Rahul Raj were arrested by the Idukki unit of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau in a bribery case on Wednesday. The accused were arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 75,000 from a hotel owner in Chithirapuram.
