Vidyarambham ceremonies are being conducted in various educational institutions, prominent temples and cultural organizations, including Kerala Kaumudi, as thousands of children take their first steps into the world of wisdom.
Literary and social leaders are initiating kids into the world of letters across the state. A heavy rush is witnessed in Saraswati temples from early morning to initiate the children into the world of letters. Extensive facilities are provided everywhere. Panachikkad Temple at Kottayam also known as Dakshina Mukambika started the function at 4 am.
In the Vidyarambham function jointly organized by Kerala Kaumudi and Pettah Puthenkovil Bhagavathy Temple Committee, temple melashanti Kannan Potty, additional chief secretary K R Jyothilal, neuro expert Dr Marthanda Pilla, former commissioner for disabilities S H Panjapakesan, former director of Bhasha Institute and author M R Thampan are initiating the children into the world of letters.
The Vidyarambham function is held in the Bhagavathy temple grounds at Puthenkovil near Kerala Kaumudi. The function started at 8 am. Gifts are given to the children being initiated into the world of letters. The printed photos of children are given free of charge by Paramount Studios.
