THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devaswom Board president PS Prasanth said that the electricity supply on the path to Sabarimala was stopped only for 40 minutes. The president explained that they are trying to make necessary arrangements for the devotees visiting Sabarimala and that small mistakes are natural. He said at a press conference that more people than expected came this time when the nada was opened for thulamasa puja in Sabarimala.

"There is a limit to what can be done in a temple surrounded by forests. Don't portray even small problems as big. Electricity supply at Sabarimala was interrupted due to lightning strikes. The issue was resolved within 45 minutes of the incident. Those who come after booking through virtual queues and those coming without it will get darshan. The complaint was that there was no spot booking. That too has now been resolved. All arrangements will be completed by November 10.

Last time there were only three nada pandals in Pamba. When people gathered at the pandal, which can accommodate only 1,500 people, there was a problem. However, the construction of four more pandals is underway as a solution to this. After that, there will be a total of seven nada pandals. Up to 3,500 people can stand in line. Another pandal is being constructed in place of the Ramamurthy Mandapam which was washed away in the floods. We are trying our best to do everything," he said.
