Man informs brother of suicidal intent; Couple found dead inside home

KOTTAYAM: A couple, identified as Roy (60) and his wife Jincy (55) of Kanamkompil, Kadanad, were found dead in their home this afternoon. Roy was found hanging, while Jincy was found dead on the floor.

According to reports, Roy had called his brother in Idukki earlier and disclosed his intention to take his own life. Alarmed by the call, the brother quickly contacted local neighbours, urging them to check on the couple. When the neighbors arrived at the residence, they discovered the tragic scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that ongoing family issues may have contributed to the deaths. Further inquiries are underway.
