THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The committee appointed by the Health Department has recommended departmental action against TV Prashanthan, who raised bribery allegations against Kannur ADM Naveen Babu. The report recommending action against Prashanthan was submitted by the committee comprising Health Secretary Dr Rajan Khobragade and Joint DMO. The investigation committee found that Prashanthan, an electrician at Pariyaram Medical College, violated service rules. The committee also recommended that an investigation be conducted about his financial dealings.

Minister Veena George had ordered an investigation into TV Prashanthan's application for a petrol pump while still in service. The estimated cost to start the petrol pump in Chengalayi is around Rs 4 crore, raising questions about how a medical college employee like Prashanthan could afford such a large sum.
