MUMBAI: The Indian cricket team squads for their upcoming tours of South Africa and Australia have been announced. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team for the four-match T20 series in South Africa, while Rohit Sharma will captain the Test team in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Malayali cricketer Sanju Samson has secured a spot in the T20 team for the South African tour. Samson had previously scored a century in the final match against Bangladesh.
For the Australian tour, an 18-member Indian team has been announced. Newcomers Abhimanyu Easwaran, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Harshit Rana have been included in the team. Injured Mohammed Shami has not been included in the team. Three fast bowlers will be sent as travelling reserves with the team. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, who are part of the squad for the New Zealand series, have been omitted.
