26-year-old youth arrested in connection to suicide of woman in Koodathayi

THAMARASSERY: A youth has been arrested in connection with the incident where a woman committed suicide in Koodathayi in Kozhikode. The arrested person has been identified as Koodathayi native Amal Benny (26). Amal was arrested by the police in connection with the death of Sanjana Krishna (23), the daughter of Ambalakkunnu native Chandran. Sanjana was found hanging in her room on September 11. She was working in a private hospital in Koduvally.

During the investigation, police found that Sanjana committed suicide due to Amal's threats. The police collected digital evidence to support this finding. They said that Amal had consistently threatened the young woman and her family. Amal was previously arrested by the police for the possession of ganja.
