Kollam native dies in Himalayas during trekking

KOLLAM: A student from Kollam in Kerala, died of exhaustion while trekking along the great Himalayas. Arjun Subhash (20), son of Subhash- Rekha couple died in the incident. Arjun is the nephew of Ranjith Ravindran, State Vice President of SNDP Youth Movement and BDJS District Treasurer.

Arjun Subhash was trekking with a group of 20 members. At around 9.30 am on Tuesday, after scaling a height of 15,000 feet above sea level, the oxygen count in his body started depleting.

First aid was given but it took 13 hours to reach the hospital. He died around 10.30 last night while undergoing treatment in the hospital. He was a second-year student at Himachal Pradesh National Institute of Fashion Technology.

The body will be brought to his house on Friday at 11 am and will be cremated at Polayathodu cremation centre at 4 pm.
