BENGALURU: A Malayali family travelling in a car in Bengaluru was attacked. The incident happened Wednesday night at Choodasandra near Kasavanahalli at 9.30 pm.

The car of Anoop George, a software engineer in Bengaluru and hailing from Pala in Kottayam, was attacked. The car was attacked when they were returning home after shopping. His wife Jis, children Selestay (11) and Steve (5) were in the car.

Anoop George lives at Astro Green Cascade Layout in Chikkanayakanahalli. Anoop's son Steve sustained injuries on his head.

Two bike borne people stopped their car and asked them to lower the glass when the car reached Choodasandra in Kasavanahalli. However, Anoop got suspicious and without stopping his vehicle, drove away. With this, one from them threw a stone at the rear glass of the car. Steve was injured by shards of glass.

Steve was immediately taken to a hospital nearby. The police were informed. Steve has a bandage on his head. He is under observation at home after discharged from hospital.

It is suspected whether the attack was a planned one. When they reached the hospital, two followed them and requested to compromise. However, Anoop said that he will move legally. The Parappana Agrahara police have registered a case on Anoop's complaint. One was taken into custody last night. The second is on the run. The police have intensified search for him.
