KALPATTA: Just weeks after his wedding, 33-year-old Jithin from Moodkolli, Wayanad, met a tragic end in a car accident, leaving his bride Meghna and their families devastated. The accident occurred on October 31 in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, when another vehicle collided with the van Jithin was traveling in. Jithin, an employee at a private quarry, died instantly, while three others accompanying him were critically injured and are currently under treatment at Kozhikode Medical College.
Jithin and Meghna were married in the first week of October, marking the start of what should have been a joyful new chapter for the couple. Meghna, who was seeking employment as a sales assistant at a clothing store, met Jithin when he visited the shop. Over time, he became a regular visitor, eventually expressing his desire to marry her. Although Meghna’s family was initially hesitant about the marriage,
Jithin supported Meghna’s aspirations, even encouraging her to pursue higher studies. After their wedding, Meghna enrolled in a college in Karnataka with Jithin’s help and encouragement. Tragically, it was during this time, as she was beginning her studies, that Jithin lost his life in the accident.
