THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Railways will soon launch a ‘Super App’ by the end of this year, streamlining multiple railway services into one convenient platform. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), this all-in-one application aims to revolutionize the way travelers interact with railway services by integrating various functions and services currently spread across multiple apps.
Features of the Super App
With the new Super App, users will be able to:
- Book and cancel train tickets,
- Buy platform tickets,
- Check train schedules,
- Track real-time train statuses,
- Order food via the e-catering service and
- Lodge complaints or provide feedback.
This app will integrate seamlessly with the existing IRCTC systems, offering a unified experience that enhances user convenience and boosts railway revenue. It eliminates the need for multiple applications like Rail Connect for ticketing, UTS for unreserved tickets, e-Catering’s Food on Track, Rail Madad for grievances and the National Train Inquiry System for live train status. All these features will now be accessible through a single interface.
