PALAKKAD: UDF candidate in Palakkad Rahul Mamkootathil denied rumours of fleeing through the back door of the hotel during the police raid on Tuesday night. Rahul in a press conference challenged CPM to release any video evidence of their allegation. Rahul also vowed to end his election campaign if proved wrong. The UDF candidate appeared for the press conference with a blue trolley bag, alleged to be used for money transfers.

Rahul alleged a nexus between CPM and BJP and ridiculed the opposition as 'Communist Janata Party' that he said is working to ensure BJP candidate C Krishnakumar's victory in Palakkad. Rahul demanded that the police conduct a scientific examination of the trolley bag to prove that it was used for money transfers.

Rahul Mamkootathil:

“I am challenging the police. Let them prove me wrong. I’m doing this with the confidence of a destitute. I am not even able to find money to raise flex boards in Palakkad. Ever since I landed in Palakkad, I have been subjected to abuse, trolls and even personal attacks.

I have a great friendship with Shafi and we often exchange our shirts. The night raid is another election gimmick from opposition parties after the election commission extended the dates. Nothing is going to work.”
