Bikes collide in Kizhakkambalam; student dies 

KIZHAKKAMBALAM: A student died after suffering serious injuries in a collision between two bikes in Kizhakkambalam. The deceased has been identified as Ann Mariya (19), a native of Chunda in Vythiri. She was a second-year BCom student at Jai Bharath College, Arakkappady.

The accident took place on Thursday night at around 11.30 pm near the Nayara petrol pump in Pazhanganad. Ann Mariya and her friend Adarsh were travelling on the bike from the Pazhanganad side when another bike hit their bike while crossing the road. Ann Mariya fell on the road and sustained serious injuries. Although both Ann Mariya and Adarsh were rushed to the hospital, Ann Mariya's life could not be saved.
