PALAKKAD: Sandeep Varier, a former BJP leader, has attacked both the BJP and the CPM, alleging a clandestine alliance between the two parties. Sandeep, who recently joined the Congress, claimed that the BJP and CPM could conspire to eliminate him. "I fear they might send an Innova to kill me," he told the media after his visit to Panakkad.
He did not mince words in his criticism. "If the CPM-BJP joint Innova is driven by Minister MB Rajesh, it will be BJP president K Surendran who gives the quotation. These two groups control Kerala's politics. The Palakkad election is unfolding in the same way, and the people of Kerala are watching," he said.
Sandeep Varier described leaving BJP as a move away from a "factory of hatred" to the "humanitarian side of the UDF. If I had joined earlier, it might have been seen as seeking opportunities before the elections but I have chosen to uphold the politics of Congress, leaving behind forever the divisive ideology I once believed in," he said.
Responding to questions about his criticism of the BJP, he clarified that he does not intend to personally attack anyone or try to reform the party. "I won't go to Mararji Bhavan with a cane to fix the BJP. They won't change even if I try. I am moving forward, embracing the Congress and its principles," he asserted.
