Suspected food poisoning; 17 school students hospitalised in Wayanad

KALPETTA: Seventeen school students are suspected to have contracted food poisoning. Students of WOUP School at Muttil in Wayanad are suspected to have contracted food poisoning. The children who showed uneasiness have been admitted to Kainatty General Hospital.

The students were admitted to the hospital after they complained of fever, vomiting and diarrhoea. The PTA president said that around 600 children had eaten food from the school. The food safety department conducted an inspection at the school following the incident. Samples have also been collected.
