Threat for backing BJP, body of dalit woman found in sack

LUCKNOW: The body of a Dalit woman was found in a sack. The body was found stuffed in a sack and dumped near the Kanjara river bridge in Karhal area of Uttar Pradesh. The body was found naked. The family alleged that her male friend Prashant Yadav is behind the woman's death. It is reported that political enmity led to the murder.

The family also alleged that she was sexually abused before her death. Her family said the woman expressed her desire to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections in Karhal. This irked Prashant. He had said that the consequences of voting for the BJP would be very serious and asked her to vote for the Samajwadi Party. He threatened her on November 19.

Some locals said that two people took her on a bike on the night of the incident. Her body was found dumped in a sack today. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and completed the initial examination. The body has been shifted for postmortem.

BJP candidate from the constituency Anujesh Yadav expressed his condolences over the incident. He said that this points to the violation of the law under the Samajwadi Party. BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya has also come out to criticize the Samajwadi Party. He said that this was an attack by goons wearing red caps.
