Heart attack while climbing holy hills; Three pilgrims die in Sabarimala

SABARIMALA: In a devastating incident, three pilgrims collapsed and died while ascending the holy hills of Sabarimala on Thursday. Andhra Pradesh Guntur Upparapalem native Velpuri Venkaiah (65), Bangalore South Hosur Main Dairy Quarters native CP Kumar (44), and Andhra Pradesh Godavari native Neelam Chandrasekhar (55) died on Thursday.

Velpuri Venkaiah developed chest pain on Wednesday night at Neelimala. CP Kumar fell ill on Thursday morning at Appachimedu and Neelam Chandrasekhar fell ill at Pamba No. 1 shed the same morning. All three were rushed to Pamba Hospital but could not be saved.
