Just days after engagement, woman's body found floating in Muthambi river

KOZHIKODE: The body of a woman, earlier reported missing, was found floating in Muthambi River on Friday. Meppayur native Snehanjali (24) is the victim. The woman went missing from Changaramvally at 6 am on Thursday. Soon, the relatives filed a complaint with Meppayur police.

By around 4 pm on Thursday, a boatman in the area expressed suspicion of a person jumping into the river. By Friday morning, the dead body was recovered from the river. Snehanjali was engaged just a few days ago while her family members admitted of the young woman undergoing through mental stress in the past week. The body has been moved to Koyilandy Taluk Hospital.
