The police finding states that producers of the Malayalam blockbuster movie ‘Manjummel Boys’, including actor Soubin Shahir, did not even spend one rupee on the movie’s production.

As per reports, the owners of Parava Films did not spend a penny from their pockets on the movie. When the bank accounts were checked, it was found that the producers received Rs 28.35 crore from various sources. The cost of the film was calculated from the GST payment documents.

According to the police report, the total cost of 'Manjummel Boys', which collected Rs 250 crore globally, was only Rs 18.62 crore. More than Rs 45 crores have reached the account of Big Dreams Films, the distributor of the film.

The Income Tax Department had also found discrepancies in the income and expenditure figures. The Enforcement Directorate had earlier received a complaint about rampant black money trading in the film sector. The ED was setting their investigation into the film sector dealings when Siraj Valiyaveetil, a resident of Alappuzha Aroor, filed a complaint against Soubin, the producer of the super hit movie ‘Manjummel Boys’.

Siraj alleged fraud by 'Parava Films' after they deceived him into investing in this movie but failed to pay the profits received. In the subsequent investigation, police also found serious financial fraud in the dealings. The police have submitted this report to the High Court.
